Job Summary: The Production Support Technician shall: Manage parts & material for multiple aircraft including order, receipt, and delivery and tracking status. Work with local manufacturing shops to build parts as necessary. Track parts through the various systems and organizations to provide the maintenance organization accurate delivery dates. Correct financial Errors and tract DIFM/DOTM Exchange items and process documents and corresponding parts for routing to other shops in the maintenance complex.
This may include manual lifting up to 50 lbs. driving lightweight motor vehicles, i.e. golf cart or mule, and delivery/pickup of material in Depot Supply or other outlying areas.
The ability to brief status and speak well before an audience of management and coworkers on a daily basis is required.
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of aircraft terminology, parts and Air Force material systems is a plus. Experience using material systems such as ABOM, NIMMS, DO43, DO35, DCAST and COGNOS is desired.
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented. Must have experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook programs. Must have SECRET security clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance (based on criminal & financial background). Must be able to pass background check, physical and drug screen.
